One of the 'Handlers' at Dreamworld has been bitten by one of the Tigers (Kato) and received five deep puncture wounds to upper calf and thigh.
The bite has been described as just a 'nip' and the 'handler' is expected to be back to work in just a few days.
The amusement park will be conducting an internal investigation into the incident.
All 'handling' of big cats be they Tigers, Lions or whatever is totally unnecessary and is always an accident waiting to happen. Though this incident was not especially severe it could so easily have been.
Handling and posing sessions with big cats should be stopped.
