Team Leader - Dublin Zoo



DUBLIN ZOO holds the prestigious position of being one of `Ireland's leading Fee Paying Family Attraction' having welcomed in excess of 930,000 visitors during 2008.



We are currently seeking a confident zoo professional who is a highly motivated, a self starter and shares Dublin Zoo's passion for wildlife and vision on conservation and animal welfare.



The successful candidate will be required to be a hands-on member of the Team. He/she will be responsible for the overall day to day running of the section to which he/she is assigned in the Animals and Grounds department.



He/she will supervise, roster, support and assist the animal care staff within their assigned section, ensuring world's best practice, general compliance with Health and Safety regulations and consistent performance to overall Zoo management standards.



The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years experience in a medium-sized zoological garden and / or wildlife park within a senior Keeper position and must demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of a Dublin zoo's ethics, research, education programs and conservation involvements.
