The groom does not appear very happy and I think the bride wishes she was where somewhere else. It is sad. It is sad because so many ordinary members of the public are taken in by such commercially orchestrated events and believe the photographs are cute. I would not be in the least bit surprised if The Institute for Greatly Endangered and Rare Species in Myrtle Beach did not copy the idea next week.
When all is said and done these unfortunate little Chimpanzees are too young to get married! They are still babies themselves and should be with their mothers....in a family group. Being as humanised as they are it is unlikely, though not impossible, that breeding will occur whether married or not. Then, even if it does happen if parent rearing takes place it will be something of a miracle.
It is wrong, the propagation of such rubbish and if zoos like the Hefei Wildlife Park in Eastern China want to be taken seriously they need to get their act together.
