Major Escape From Zoo

Escapes from zoos are not common and escapes of a number of different species at any one time are even rarer still. One must suspect foul play.

So far it is all rumour and there has been no official statement but seemingly around 48 animals, which included, Lions, Tigers and Bears have been shot by police in the countryside surrounding a Zoo Farm near Zanesville in Eastern Ohio.

The owner of the Zoo Farm, Mr Terry Thompson was found dead on the grounds. One report says that Mr Thompson freed the animals himself before committing suicide.

As with any escape of dangerous animals outside of zoo grounds a shoot to kill policy is the only sensible option. (read more of this in Why Did They Not Dart The Tiger? )

Not all animals have yet been accounted for.
