The Art and Science of Animal Training
Third Annual Conference
University of North Texas
Denton, Texas
February 19, 2011
Dear Friends:
Join us for another fascinating conference to explore new concepts in animal training and the analysis of animal behavior.
Returning this year will be the always popular and wicked minds of Alexandra Kurland, Bob Bailey, Jesús Rosales-Ruiz, Kay Laurence, Ken Ramirez, and Steve White. We are excited to have Phung Luu joining us as well.
Our featured speaker will be Dr. Paul T. Andronis, who will talk about scientific issues related to animal training. Dr. Andronis, a professor of psychology at Northern Michigan University, will explain the parallels between shaping behavior and the natural selection of species. His presentation, Evolutionary Theory and the Analysis of Animal Behavior: Some Implications and Applications, will also reveal how knowledge of evolutionary biology can help improve training.
